Lauren and I’s last leg of our journey was to the gigantic city of Madrid. We knew almost nothing about this city when we booked this part of our trip, but we are both so glad we spent the majority of our time here.

Madrid surprised us in so many ways.

For starters, the food was incredible. Everywhere.

The architecture was just as big and breathtaking as Barcelona. The capital did not disappoint.

The Royal Palace was definitely a highlight

The rooftop really give you a sense of how massive this city really is.

Spain also really loves their parks. Thats one thing we noticed in Barcelona as well, but Madrid LOVES their parks…

Some of the coolest buildings and monuments we found, we stumbled on walking through these massive public parks.

We stumbled into some very old Tapas bar after…

Caps to fuel our walks

Found the ‘Money Heist’ guys (low-key my favorite Netflix show)

Spain is also known for their giant food markets or “Mercado’s”. They sell everything from seafood to pastries to juices to wines. We stopped in this one almost every day for either recovery or replenishment.

Mercado De San Miguel

PLENTY of walking, and plenty more of the city to try and see.

BREAKING NEWS: Local residents had some “Peaceful Protest” over some political shenanigans while we happen to be visiting.

More parks… and parks in parks…

Found some American muscle on the streets

Back to the Mercado for some MEAT!

Edificio Metropolis, Madrid

Spaniards love their street art.

The El Rastro Flea Market, is Madrids oldest and largest market. And large was accurate.

We met some interesting characters at that market… but left with some awesome finds.

Ending the trip I wanted to get some more drone photos, but has a slight malfunction and at that point we shut down all photos and relaxed the rest of the trip.
