Sedona - Pt. 3
For the last leg of the trip we searched the Sedona desert for all the local “Vortex” hot spots…
The first is one of the more popular and ”powerful” of these vortex pockets… Cathedral Rock.
It’s not the longest hike you’ve ever been on. But it could be the steepest. Good thing Martian is part Mountain Goat.
You can see why this is such a sought after trail…
Explore a little at the top & get a family pic or 2
Now that its 107º at 9am… lets head back down
Let’s get dressed and get some drinks
Shopping courtyard had some good photo ops
Happy Hour led us down to the creek…
…and of course Martian had to get wet.
On to the next shop. This one had some gems.
…and we left with our very own Buffalo skull.
On down to the river like were locals or something.
A little golden hour in Sedona?
Sure…
It was very golden.
One more vortex hot spot, Bell Rock.
Another short, yet incredible hike with unbelievable views.
The heavy copper in the rocks is what gives it its red color, and is also what gives the “Vortex” its energy.
The vortex energy also, apparently effects the trees and how they grow, making them twist and turn.
One of the last remaining vortex hot spots is the loop around the rock the airport was built on top of.
More shopping
Now Wine
A little rest before some desert star gazing.
What an incredible trip! 1500 miles across 4 states in 6 days. Countless state parks, 3 national parks and a lot of hikes in between. Happy Birthday La!
Until next year…
